VA HEALTH BENEFITS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

We understand that military families are under enormous strain. 1st Veterans Kids Care shows our respect appreciation by proudly providing that extra support for our heroes and their loved ones so they can make a satisfying post-service, readjustment to civilian life.

  • Information about eligibility requirements is made available to all members and assistance with claims for all state and federal veterans’ programs is provided. 1st Veterans Kids Care will evaluate and help get approval for services so veterans can take advantage of local state and federal veterans’ programs.
  • All veterans will have an initial assessment to devise a service plan addressing identified needs and objectives.
  • Each veteran will have a personalized service plan outlining goals and barriers related to needs and desires.

FAMILY MENTAL HEALTH CARE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Our programs are focused on Recovery and empowering the children and families of veterans to take charge of their treatment and live a full and meaningful life.

Our approach focuses on the families’ strengths and gives respect, honor, and hope to our nation’s heroes and their families.
Our programs provide Coordinated Care for the whole family in a safe and effective manner for the whole person. We know that having a healthy body, satisfying work, and supportive family and friends, along with getting appropriate nutrition and exercising regularly, are important to mental health as to physical health.
Mental Health Treatment in Primary Care – Our job is to understand the overall mental health goals of the children of veteran and ensure that this is a part of their care plan.

PHYSICAL THERAPY & REHABILITATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

  • 1st Veterans Kids Care has designed programs for children of members who have served to help them start and maintain their healing process, both mentally and physically, through physical therapy and rehabilitation.• Our physical therapy and rehabilitation programs assist anyone who wants to keep in shape or are experiencing post-traumatic stress. 1st Veterans Kids Care has a unique program designed around health rehabilitation that targets the needs and desires of disabled veterans and senior citizen members.
  • Our programs focus on satisfying the needs and well-being of children of veterans and their family members struggling with injuries and disabilities that restricts their ability to transition to civilian life due to dealing with the wounds of war
    • 1st Veterans Kids Care has designed programs for members who have served designed to help them start and maintain their healing process, both mentally and physically, through physical therapy and rehabilitation.
    • Our physical therapy and rehabilitation programs assist families who wants to keep in shape or are experiencing post-traumatic stress. 1st Veterans Kids Care has a unique program designed around health rehabilitation that targets the needs and desires of disabled veterans and senior citizen members.

MARTIAL ARTS PHYSICAL FITNESS PROGRAM

1st Veterans Kids Care has designed programs for members who have served to help them start and maintain their healing process, both mentally and physically, through physical fitness, by providing them with gifted memberships from sponsors who will pay for yearly memberships.

  • Our programs provide a place for both able bodied and disabled veterans and community members to utilize various services without the worry of environmental stressors.
  • Our fitness programs will assist any child of veterans and family member who wants to keep in shape or is experiencing post-traumatic stress.
    • Also, if a child of a wounded veteran requires assistance from their VA Caregiver while at the 1st Veterans Kids Care, the caregiver’s membership will be granted as well.
    • 1st Veterans Kids Care has designed programs for members who have served to help them start and maintain their healing process, both mentally and physically, through physical fitness, by providing them with gifted memberships from sponsors who will provide funds for yearly memberships.
    • Our programs provide a place for both able bodied and disabled veterans and community members to utilize various services without the worry of environmental stressors.
    • Our fitness programs will assist any veteran and family member who want to keep in shape or are experiencing post-traumatic stress.

Also, if a wounded veteran member requires assistance from their VA Caregiver while receiving services from 1st Veterans Kids Care, the caregiver’s membership will be granted as well.

Critical Financial Assistance Program

SHORT-TERM FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

  • Financial Assistance* for food, utilities, home repairs, rent/mortgage payments, etc.
  • Rent-free Permanent housing for service members
  • LONG-TERM STABILITY , RECURRING FAMILY SUPPORT
  • Celebrations to recognize military spouses
  • Holiday programs to provide meals and toys
  • Backpacks filled with school supplies for military kids

If you are in need of home repairs or are otherwise experiencing financial hardship due to a loss of a family member, you may be eligible for assistance and are encouraged to apply for help.

ELIGIBILITY

  • ALL veteran’s children and family members are welcome at 1st Veterans Kids Care, Inc. regardless of their length of service or military discharge status.
  • If you have served or member has served with legal dependents or injured service members with medical documentation and an honorable discharge

Critical Financial Assistance

Do you need financial assistance for overdue bills, repairs, or other critical family needs? If you meet our criteria you may be eligible for assistance from 1st Veterans Kids Care’s Critical Financial Assistance.

Since 2009, we have fulfilled many unique requests from children and military families, providing over thousands of dollars in assistance.

Application Process

Our system follows a three-step process each month for applicants. There is a 10-day Application and Initial Processing Period, a 10-day Processing and Review Period, and a 10-day Evaluation/Notification period.

ALL veteran’s children and family members are welcome at 1st Veterans Kids Care, Inc. regardless of their length of the veteran’s service or military discharge status. While it is 1st Veterans Kids Care’s wish to meet all assistance request, request will be considered on a severe need basis to eligible individuals.
